Thank you to everyone who came to dance with us at our end of summer party at Downcast Studios in Gateshead. We loved it. We hope you did, too. We return to our beloved home at the Lubberfiend for our November show with our good friend Jubei, one the most the most important figures in modern Drum and Bass. We’re giving him 2 hours and total creative freedom, so you can expect variety, quality and exclusive, yet to be released music from the cutting edge of the breaks and bass world. Carbon may not be as old as some labels, but has already established itself as one of the few “buy on sight” imprints that still exists. Their reputation for quality control and high standards is renowned. Deep, sometimes dark, rolling and moody, but always unique enough to stand out and stick in your head. Known as “a DJ’s DJ” in Drum and Bass circles, Jubei’s no nonsense approach to mixing sets him apart from many other performers in the scene, his deadly accuracy, ear for quality, and his ability respond to crowds speaks for itself. One of the most difficult things an artist can do is make something as complex and nuanced as Drum and Bass sound perfectly presented. Though many people try to emulate his flawless mixing style, no one really can. Don’t miss this special extended set at what’s set to be one of
